LikedOut of the 6 hotels we stayed at, their restaurant was far and away the best food I had in Iceland. I still dream about that burger... The place felt secluded, great views, little bit of a drive to down town.

Liked1) the hotel: the vibe was a combination of modern and homelike - the entrance and hallways very warm and friendly with furniture and unique knickknacks like stuffed bear and fox. The room was awesome: modern with huge ceiling to floor windows that overlooked the lake. The chairs in the room so comfortable. 2) the staff was very professional and hardworking yet very approachable and easy to engage in conversation. We felt very welcomed; such a friendly staff! 3) the location just outside of Reykjavik made it convenient to see sites outside the city and yet was still close enough to the city to make site-seeing trips. 4) the water pressure was wonderful! 5) WiFi was solid and strong 6) Restaurant dinner was fabulous! The cod was so fresh! 7) free parking in the courtyard

LikedWe loved everything about the property! It was exactly as described. We took advantage of the sauna and hot tub as well as the free kayaking. The staff were so friendly, accommodating and helpful. Would absolutely return and refer friends here as well
