The Best Caribbean Resorts, Island by Island

Every resort below holds at least one of two 2026 inspector-led awards: a Michelin Key, or a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star or Five-Star rating. Reader polls and paid placements are not used. Within each island the order is our selection. Awards and policies were checked on 9 October 2026.

No Caribbean hotel appears on The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2026 list or its extended 51-100 list, so that award is not used here.

Comparison table

Rooms are the hotel’s own published count where available, otherwise the Michelin Guide listing. “Kids’ club” means a supervised club listed by the hotel or the Michelin Guide; “No club” means neither lists one.

Michelin awards Keys from one to three. Cheval Blanc St-Barth is the only Three-Key hotel in this list.

Bahamas

Rosewood Baha Mar

On Cable Beach, Nassau, with 221 rooms, suites and villas (the Michelin listing says 231). Butler service comes with villas and one-bedroom suites and above. The Rosewood Explorers kids’ club runs daily activities. One Michelin Key; Forbes Four-Star.

Turks & Caicos

Amanyara

Northwest Point, Providenciales. The Michelin Guide lists 36 rooms; the resort also rents three- to six-bedroom villas, each with an infinity-edge pool and a dedicated Villa Host and Chef. The Six-Bedroom Amanyara Villa and Six-Bedroom Beach Sala Villa have a “Family Pavilion”: a main bedroom linked to two junior bedrooms. Children up to 11 stay without a room charge; rooms cannot take cots or extra beds. One Michelin Key; Forbes Four-Star.

Wymara Resort and Villas

Two properties under one name: Wymara Resort on Grace Bay Beach and Wymara Villas at Sunset Cove, with 91 rooms between them in the Michelin listing. Forbes rates the villas Five-Star and the resort Four-Star; Wymara says the villas are the first Forbes Five-Star property in Turks and Caicos. Children under 12 get an extra bed free. One Michelin Key.

COMO Parrot Cay

A private-island resort with 58 rooms (Michelin listing). Its beach houses, villas and residences are all on the sand, each with a private pool and butler service. The three-bedroom COMO Villa has its own infinity pool; the Two-Bedroom Beach House is 97.5 m² (1,735 sq ft). There is a kids’ club. One Michelin Key; Forbes Recommended. In the 2022 edition.

Cayman Islands

The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman

On Seven Mile Beach, with 365 rooms (Michelin listing). Its restaurants include Blue by Eric Ripert. Kids’ club; children up to 17 stay free using existing beds. One Michelin Key; Forbes Five-Star.

Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa

Grand Cayman, with 264 rooms (Michelin listing). Camp Seafire takes children aged 5 to 12, and under-18s stay free in existing beds. One Michelin Key; Forbes Five-Star.

Jamaica

Round Hill Hotel and Villas

A 110-acre estate on a peninsula 25 minutes from Montego Bay airport, open since 1953. The Michelin Guide lists 62 rooms; villas include six-bedroom units. Kids’ club; cots free for under-3s. Men need long trousers at dinner except on Mondays. One Michelin Key; Forbes Recommended. In the 2022 edition.

Dominican Republic

Amanera

Río San Juan, with 25 rooms (Michelin listing), including two-bedroom casas. Babysitting is available on request. Two Michelin Keys; Forbes Four-Star.

Puerto Rico

Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

Dorado, with 115 rooms (Michelin listing). The top unit is Su Casa, the former 1920s estate of aviator Clara Livingston: a five-bedroom, 8,000 sq ft hacienda sleeping 12, redesigned in 2019 with a private infinity pool. Children of any age are accepted. One Michelin Key; Forbes Five-Star.

Condado Vanderbilt Hotel

A city beach hotel in Condado, San Juan, opened on 16 October 1919. A $270 million restoration ran from 2002 to 2014, and all 317 rooms and 100 suites were refreshed in late 2025, according to the hotel. Its restaurant 1919 is Forbes Four-Star. No Michelin Key; Forbes Four-Star. In the 2022 edition.

British Virgin Islands

Rosewood Little Dix Bay

Virgin Gorda, on a 500-acre estate founded by Laurance Rockefeller. It reopened in January 2020 after a four-year closure and renovation. The Michelin Guide lists 100 rooms; categories run from junior suites to the Rosewood Two-Bedroom Suite and villas. Michelin marks it as kids-friendly. One Michelin Key; Forbes Four-Star. Anguilla

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla

Between Barnes Bay and Meads Bay on the west end. 181 units: 70 rooms, 50 suites, 24 villas, 4 townhomes and 33 residences. The Five-Bedroom Beachfront Villa is 8,804 sq ft (818 m²) including outdoor space and sleeps 12. Kids’ club; under-18s stay free in existing beds. Two Michelin Keys; Forbes Five-Star.

Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel

Maundays Bay. Built in 1988 and fully renovated in 2018, when it joined Belmond. 113 rooms: 68 rooms and 45 suites. The Two-Bedroom Beachfront Jonquil Suite takes four people. The Explorer’s Club & Nursery is for ages 4 to 12. Restaurants include Pimms, Cip’s by Cipriani and Uchu. Two Michelin Keys; Forbes Five-Star.

St Barts

Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France

On Flamands Beach, with 60 rooms and suites plus the Villa de France (Michelin’s listing says 39 rooms). The villa is 650 m² (7,000 sq ft including terraces) over two floors, with five bedrooms, two infinity-edge pools, a private spa room and space for 10 guests. Two-bedroom bungalows and a two-bedroom beach house suit smaller families. Kids’ club; children of any age. Three Michelin Keys; Forbes Five-Star.

Eden Rock St Barths

On a rocky promontory, founded in 1953 by Rémy de Haenen and managed by Oetker Hotels. 37 rooms, suites and villas. Villa Rockstar is 1,600 m² (17,222 sq ft) and sleeps 12. The Sand Bar’s menu is by Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Children of all ages are welcome; there is no kids’ club, and Guest Relations arranges activities. Forbes Five-Star; no Michelin Key.

Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth

On an 18-acre peninsula at Grand Cul-de-Sac. First opened in 1986 as Le Guanahani and reopened as a Rosewood after a four-year redesign. 66 units: 29 rooms, 27 suites and 10 signature suites of one to three bedrooms. The Rosewood Explorer’s Club sits by the beach. Children 4-11 sharing a parent’s suite get a free extra bed and breakfast. Two Michelin Keys; Forbes Four-Star.

Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa

Also at Grand Cul-de-Sac, with 44 rooms and suites, connecting rooms, and two villas, Aqua and Bleu. Babysitting on request; no kids’ club. Two Michelin Keys; Forbes Four-Star. In the 2022 edition.

St Kitts & Nevis

Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour

Banana Bay on the south-east peninsula of St Kitts. 77 rooms, 44 suites and 3 villas. The Three-Bedroom Presidential Villa is 5,280 sq ft over two storeys, with a private infinity pool and a games room. Kids’ club. Forbes Four-Star; no Michelin Key (the Michelin Guide lists it without one). In the 2022 edition.

Four Seasons Resort Nevis

Pinney’s Beach, Nevis, with a golf course. More than 40 villas and residences of two to seven bedrooms, each with a pool and kitchen. Kids For All Seasons runs for ages 3 to 9, and there is a separate teen lounge. Forbes Four-Star; no Michelin Key.

Antigua

Jumby Bay Island

A private island off Antigua, managed by Oetker Hotels, with a fully inclusive rate. The Michelin Guide lists 28 rooms; villas and estates take a three-night minimum. The largest estate, Pure Turquoise, has seven bedrooms, sleeps 14 and covers 1,589 m² (17,102 sq ft). Kids’ club. Two Michelin Keys; Forbes Four-Star. In the 2022 edition.

Curtain Bluff

All-inclusive, on a sandy peninsula, with 72 suites and rooms, all on or near the sand. The Grace and Morris Bay Suites are 1,944 sq ft each and can be linked to a junior suite to make a two-bedroom unit. Cee Bee Kids Camp is for children only. One Michelin Key.

St Lucia

Jade Mountain

Soufrière, above Anse Chastanet. 29 “sanctuaries”, each with one wall open to the Pitons and no TV or phone. 24 have private infinity pools; the three Galaxy sanctuaries average 2,000 sq ft with pools of about 900 sq ft. Guests share Anse Chastanet’s beaches, diving and spa. No children under 16. Two Michelin Keys; Forbes Four-Star. In the 2022 edition.

Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort

Between the Pitons at Val des Pitons, Soufrière, on more than 100 acres. The Michelin Guide lists 130 rooms; the range runs from Sugar Mill rooms to villas, beachfront bungalows and residences. Superior Luxury Villas are 800 sq ft with a sofa bed for two young children. Kids’ club. One Michelin Key; Forbes Recommended. In the 2022 edition.

St Vincent & the Grenadines

Mandarin Oriental, Canouan

Carenage Bay, Canouan, with 40 rooms (Michelin listing). Family units include two-bedroom suites, two- and three-bedroom patio villas and four-bedroom Lagoon Villas with infinity pools. The Pirates of Canouan Kids’ Club takes ages 3 to 12. One Michelin Key; Forbes Five-Star.

Grenada

Spice Island Beach Resort

Grand Anse Beach. All-inclusive and family-owned, with 64 suites (Michelin listing); founded by the late Sir Royston Hopkin. The Royal Collection Pool Suites are 1,500 sq ft. Kids’ club. One Michelin Key. In the 2022 edition.

Barbados

Sandy Lane

The Villa at Sandy Lane has five bedrooms and its own butler after a multi-million-dollar renovation; the four-bedroom Sandy Lane Suite has a terrace infinity pool. The Treehouse Club takes children from 3, with a toddler corner and teen programming. Forbes Five-Star; not a Michelin Key hotel (Barbados’s only Key hotel is Cobblers Cove).

Changes from the 2022 edition

The 2022 guide listed 18 resorts. Ten stay. Eight are dropped because none holds a 2026 Michelin Key or a Forbes Four-Star or Five-Star rating:
