The Postcard Cuelim, Goa

LikedUnironically the best hotel experience I've ever had, and I've stayed at extremely expensive places before. The service is actually unparalleled, every detail is attended to and more. From day/night flexible checkout, all day breakfast a-la-carte, the free postcard sent to a location of your choice. It is actually unbelieveable. I wish this business was in more countries, because I would choose to stay with them wherever I travel. The cuelim building itself is also special - it is the first PM of Goa's mansion so is rich with history. It really feels like you are living in a different era.

LikedPostcard is unique as each property promised to be a piece of history or story which makes it special. The all-day Breakfast and the possibility of early check in and late check out at no extra cost is its unique USP and a positive definitor from other 5-star properties.

DislikedI am a dog lover but to find a dog in the room on my return in the evening which I had left open during the day could be unsettling to many guests. To be honest I found it endearing but others might not! so housekeeping to be watchful.

DislikedFood is not good and very expensive given the small portions. The tastes were not good. Also the bicycles and pool table were in terrible condition.

DislikedThey charged us 12,230 for an extra bed. In most hotels specially 4-5 star rated hotels.. extra beds are complimentary or a minimal charge. Charging us 12k Just for an extra bed is ridiculously expensive. A 3 star hotel room could be booked at this cost. Also the room we stayed in the Air conditioning wasn't working so we had to shift to another room which caused us inconvenience.

Likedanytime breakfast was a treat to the senses and taste buds. Served at the patio along the room was a leisurely treat. Manager and the staff were very courteous and looked after all the needs before one can ask for.

LikedA historical colonial mansion fully restored to its original beauty and located off the beaten path. The anytime breakfast, flexible check in and check out times and the well appointed suite, everything was elegant and comfortable. And the service! We were received with the friendliest staff who attended to our every need with a personal touch. We felt so well taken care of. Thank you!
