LikedThe property itself is incredibly beautiful. Immaculately designed. The pool was so peaceful and wonderful (as were the pool bar staff!) and all the food and drink we had while there was very high quality and fresh. We also very much enjoyed the wine tasting on site during our stay. The sommelier was clearly very enthusiastic about Puglian wine and it was also exceedingly informative tasting.
DislikedThe concierge staff were a bit...cold? They did accommodate all our questions and requests (arranging for taxis, booking experiences at the Masseria) but we always felt a bit like we were inconveniencing them. The staff at Calderisi a Mare were also a bit unfriendly. There was no one interaction that was notably bad, but comparative to the other luxury hotels we have stayed at in Italy, we were just a bit caught off guard in that regard.
