Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa - Deluxe All Inclusive

LikedA genuinely memorable stay I had a wonderful time here, and what made the stay especially memorable was the people. A special thank you to Amaan, our housekeeper, and to Haya and Summer from the Dive Centre, who were incredibly warm and thoughtful throughout the stay. The dining experience was a real highlight, especially at Beach Grill Club. The team consistently went above and beyond, including a few gentlemen from India whose names I unfortunately didn’t catch, who arranged a special Indian lunch for me — definitely one of the highlights of the trip. A special mention as well to David, who gave me some excellent and very personal wine recommendations that I really appreciated. Overall, the service felt genuinely warm, personal and thoughtful. Thank you to Amaan, Haya, Summer, David, the Beach Grill Club team, and everyone else who made the stay so special.

LikedWe stayed for seven nights: three in a beach villa and four in a water villa. We loved everything.. The views were breathtaking, the snorkelling was superb (even right outside our room), the food offered great variety and flavour, and the facilities and amenities were excellent. Above all, the service was outstanding. We have stayed at many resorts around the world, and this was among the best, if not the best. Wisham, our host, was exceptional. He was attentive to our every need, arranged special moments and gifts, and planned our itinerary so that we experienced the best of what the resort has to offer. He helped make this an unforgettable holiday. He was well supported by so many people on the island, who were friendly and helpful and went the extra mile in everything they did, whether serving at the restaurant, driving us around, or making up our rooms. A special shout-out also to Adam, who always did something extra when servicing our room. We would love to return.

LikedOne of the most beautiful places I have ever visited! We felt so very well taken care of - Sid was a magician, from being available whenever we needed him, to organizing special treats for my 40th birthday as well as our 10 year wedding anniversary - he was just a gem and was absolutely valuable to our overall experience! The resort facilities were great, the food was good and the staff were mostly amazing! Our room was also incredible (we stayed in the water pool villa) - impeccable in quality, cleanliness and size!

DislikedI wish I didn’t have a negative comment, but the reality is that I do. The main downside was the big wedding that took place while we were there, it definitely took away from our experience - from having a huge marquee with an unsightly green fence around it on the beach for a few days (absolutely killed the optics on that part of the island), to having a large group of guests who did all their activities at the same time (meaning, for example, that all the towels, pool beds, etc, would run out when they were all there at the same time), to just general rowdiness from the large group. I think the resort needs to find a better way to manage such events - maybe move the marquee to a more private place on the island, so that the experience of the rest of the guests is not ruined? Or maybe give a prior warning to other guests, so that we can consider whether we want to change travel dates? Not sure what the right answer is, but definitely something management needs to consider.

LikedWe had a wonderful stay at this resort. The property itself is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the chefs did an amazing job throughout our stay. What made the experience even more special was the warm and caring atmosphere created by the staff — they truly make you feel comfortable and at home. A special thank you to our host Shafi: Tina, Sam and Asfad from restaurant team, Beni from Dolphin Kids Club, our housekeeper (whose name I unfortunately cannot remember) for their kindness, professionalism and hospitality. They made our holiday even more memorable. Highly recommended!

LikedThe villas were exceptionally well built and equiped - one can stay there for the full day. Compared with the other two hotels we visited it was the main advantage. Villa host was great (Sid) and helped to balance some negative moments with additional services - it helpes to stay relaxed. If it is the policy of the hotel, it works.

DislikedPricing for massage and water activities. When you calculate the final price with taxes it is more expensive than elsewhere. And the massage is not really to be recommended. The transfer back to the airport was a nightmare. We almost missed our flight. On the way back the airline collects the guests from the second Emerald hotel and it takes time.

LikedWe had a wonderful experience staying at the Emerald Maldives Resort. Luxury at its best! Impeccable service with Wisham that was assigned to us. He made our journey a memorable one, with his professionalism, yet friendly and present. Paying discret attention to our every need. Thank you Wisham! Our only regret was to have spent only one night at this resort. Will definitely consider going back.
