LikedWell maintained. Beautiful rooms and excellent service. In particular we appreciated the ample sun loungers and quick and efficient beach waiter staff. Food orders on the beach were good, arrived fast and at a reasonable price.
DislikedThe restaurants are indeed over priced and not in line with the value the rest of the hotel presents. Breakfast was particularly disappointing, so we had breakfast and dinner out on most days.
LikedThe hotel was in a perfect location for our vacation itinerary. Easy walk to the market and downtown. We enjoyed watching whales breach from our ocean view room with coffee each morning. Onsite breakfast was good and we were not charged for bottled water in our room. All the staff on site were polite.
DislikedThere was really nothing to not like during our stay. Not sure why they charge for bottled water at meals when you get it for no charge in your room.

LikedThe property is beautiful, modern and well designed making it a unique and chic experience. Rooms and bathrooms are large, beds comfortable, with nice balconies and views out to the ocean. Pools are wonderful and the gym is large with a good amount of equipment. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall a wonderful experience and worth the room price for the quality of the property and location.
DislikedThe cost of services at the Viceroy is very expensive, especially for Mexico. Everything is in US prices and at a very high mark-up. With 16% tax and a 15.6% service charge attached to everything it makes it a very pricy place to stay. Staff, while very friendly, were always offering upgrades and additional services, felt a bit pushy. With lots of weddings happening at the property, loud parties are going on until about 11pm each night on the weekend, which are heard all around the property and can make it hard to sleep, so bring ear plugs.

DislikedThe prices for the on site restaurants and dining were quite high and there were no casual grab and go options
LikedEverything about this hotel was amazing! From the hospitality, food, drinks, to the amazing aesthetics! I’d def come back!
