Volga, Member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts

LikedWe arrived in Mexico City for the Dia De Los Muertos festivities. We were originally booked at another hotel, which we were displeased with after the first night. I got on Booking.com and sought out other accommodations. I was worried that we would not find a place to stay due to the events in the city. I found Volga. I am so glad that we did. The hotel is amazing. Breakfast is a fabulous way to start your day. Just one block off the Avenida de La Reforma, So many restaurants are within walking distance. The hotel bar is a great place to wind up a long day. Excellent cocktails. The staff is very attentive and pleasant. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully appointed. Housekeeping was impeccable.

DislikedBed was a bit low on a platform.

LikedThe suite was Amazing. I do think they should offer make-up wipes like most properties do since they over-emphasize having to pay if you stain their high quality towels or comforters.

DislikedWe arrived early and maybe the guy checking us in was just tired, but the checkin process was sub par. We asked to borrow towels for an excursions & was told we weren’t allowed to which sucked but we just purchased our own.

LikedLocation was near everything we had planned. Surrounded by food. The hotel was quiet, great ambiance, free breakfast, peaceful rooftop and speakeasy was full of energy and great drinks. The greenery all over was beautiful. And the room itself was lovely and comfortable.

LikedThe room was beautiful. And the lobby was DOPE!!!! It was nice to have a refrigerator with cold beverages upon arrival. We appreciated the attendant who came by each day to refill our water supply! The robes were very cozy. The bath/shower products smelled great. The toilet paper was pretty and unique! The roof pool was so special and a great reprieve at the end of a day of walking and exploring. The cocktails on the roof and the service were great as well. The breakfast was yummy - we loved the fresh jam and toast. The yogurt and granola with fruit were delicious. It was special to get different flavors of jam and different types of fruit each morning. Great hotel!

DislikedThe step up to the bed/ down to the bathroom caused quite a few stubbed toes :(. We started with big fluffy towels but when the room was refreshed the towels were different and small. There was a party on Friday night that was loud until 4am.

LikedExcellent customer service! The hotel is ultra clean, has wonderful amenities, and the food at the restaurant is superb!

LikedLoved the building’s architecture, spacious rooms & great location walking distance from everywhere. Loved also the hidden speakeasy bar.

LikedSo many wonderful small details included in the Volga experience that made it feel very luxury. The staff were incredibly kind and the bed was SO comfortable. Highly recommend! I also loved how accessible assistance was via their WhatsApp number.
