LikedWe had a fabulous stay in this property. With such beautiful, well curated premises, and the impeccable care and service from all the staff, the only thing to do is to relax and enjoy. We loved walking by the gardens, the food, the wine tasting, the pools, the spa. There were very thoughtful touches like fruit and flowers in the bedroom, and chocolate for St. Valentine's day. Would definitely recommend.
DislikedIf I had to find anything to say, it would just be the patchy wi-fi, and maybe that the room's bathrooms could use a refresh.

LikedGorgeous grounds - basically your own private several acre botanical garden. Not right in city center but a 5 euro quick cab ride away an very peaceful retreat. On site restaurants were excellent. Easy onsite parking. Lovely pools.

LikedBuffet breakfast plus a choice of cooked items if desired. Excellent quality of food. All staff were very friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful gardens. Plenty of places to sit. 2 swimming pools were available. Both heated. Never felt as if the place was crowded despite being fully booked out. Rooms were large, bathrooms were spacious with plenty of wardrobe space. Lovely balcony with a daybed and chair.
DislikedCould hear some traffic noise, but not a problem. Completely peaceful at night. Funchal is very hilly so be prepared for a bit of effort if you decide to walk anywhere, but taxis are readily available and relatively cheap. The town is only 5 minutes away by taxi
