Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island

LikedWhere do I start. Heaven on earth was Four Seasons Desroches. The staff, beaches, villa, service, and the island were beyond expectations. Such a beautiful island were you feel like you have the most amazing beach to yourself. All the staff specially Bassem, Sha, Passant, Joseph, Irene, Sarjar and Mohamed were beyond helpful and friendly, true definition of hospitality. Everything was perfect. Definitely coming back to this beautiful island and amazing staff. Extraordinary attention to the small details. Pictures don’t show how beautiful this island is.

LikedEverything was perfect, the privacy of the villa , pool and the beaches was perfect for relaxation holiday , the staffs are super nice & friendly we loved the private dinner on the light house I recommend to reserve it for special occasion , the breakfast is 10/10 , the beaches are so clear and big you can feel like a private beach by yourself !

Disliked-Geckos entering the room by the roof since there are holes because of the wood design roof i wish that you can close them -food restaurant are expensive & high tax such as a sandwich burger it can cost you approximately 80 USD which is over other than that everything was perfect

LikedWe absolutely loved our stay at Four Seasons Desroches. The island is beautiful, peaceful and full of things to discover, and our villa was stunning new, private and extremely comfortable. What made the stay especially memorable was the wonderful staff and the activities. We loved learning more about the island, the tortoises and Creole culture. Nassine was truly special; her passion for her work really comes through and made the experience even more meaningful for us. We have stayed at many beautiful resorts, but Desroches felt particularly complete because it combines nature, activities, privacy and excellent service so well. We really hope to come back soon and of course to see Big Pete and Jeffrey again.

LikedThe staff truly made this hotel special. From the second we arrived, we felt like part of their family. The attention to detail was incredible, and since it was such a special occasion for us, they made everything feel even more meaningful. The divign was one of the best ive ever done.

DislikedThe food, overall, was a bit disappointing. The private dinner on the jetty was exceptional and the breakfast was great. Claudine was average, and AHI, the Japanese restaurant, was definitely not at Four Seasons standard.

LikedThe island is a real paradise, getting there is worth the trouble. The staff is amazing, all our requests were addressed immediately. Wonderful place to go with the kids and explore the island on bikes. Kids club is also very nice.

DislikedNevertheless there is a few things that I didn't know before booking and it should be noted before you decide to go. 1. The wifi is very, very bad! I'd say the speed is like 15 years ago. Forget work, video calls, watching Netflix. Most of the apps and websites didn't work. Even my mailbox did not load! 2. Domestic flight. I had to pay around 6500 euro one way for private charter! The "default flight" departure was scheduled before my arrival so I had to book private charter. I expected the domestic flights to be as often and easy as on Maldives but no. Ask the staff for flight schedules before you book. 3. Consider that each room in villa is in separate building. So for my kids (5 and 7yo) it meat that they had to sleep away from parents and between the rooms there was a pool. No way to hear kids at night and we were afraid that one can fall into the pool if sleepwalking or looking for adults at night. Very unconvenient with small kids so we ended up having the kids sleep in the room with us or an adult sleep in the room with them. If I knew this I'd book smaller villa. FYI -We stayed in the villa with 3 bedrooms.

LikedFrom the minute we arrived on the island and were met by the Four Seasons Desroches team we did not want to leave and were already planning our trip back. Without exaggeration, the entire team was extremely personable and friendly, with extraordinary attention to detail and always delivering superb service at all hours of the day. We want to say a special thank you to Bassem, Joseph and Adarsh who really made our stay memorable. It was truly paradise and incomparable to any other experience.
