Last Word Franschhoek

LikedOBSESSED with everything about this hotel! The location, the cozy lobby, the beautiful room, and the friendliest staff!! We arrived late in the evening when most restaurants in town were closed, so Andee, who is sunshine in living form, found us snacks in the kitchen. The help yourself drink station the lobby is extremely well stocked and the lobby is so welcoming, we saw other guests just relaxing there. The rooms are massive and extremely comfortable (and stylish!). Breakfast is great. All of the staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating, we loved everyone! The location is walkable to the main stretch in town, with a bunch of restaurants nearby, as well as the wine tram station. But the hotel is set back from the main road so we didn’t hear any noise at all. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

LikedAttention to detail and personalized service. This is a small hotel and Conrad and Franklin and the entire staff team take every measure to ensure guests have an enjoyable stay. The hotel is beautiful and is walkable to so many shops and restaurants. The breakfast is amazing and the rooms are beautiful and huge! They do an amazing turn down service night as well. It really feels like they are taking care of you personally. You almost forget there are other guests at the hotel. I have stayed at lots of lovely hotels over the years but this one steals the show!

DislikedUnfortunately we were the in an unusually wet and cold couple of days and the heating on two of our rooms did not work well.

LikedOur room that we stayed in as well as the hotel is beautiful. It is also clean, comfortable and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Franklin and the team that was on duty really did a great job. We had forgotten an item of clothing after we checked out and Franklin called to inform us. When we arrived back at the hotel to fetch it, he was waiting outside to hand it over. That was really much appreciated. Also the complimentary creme brulee with the turndown service was a great touch :-)

DislikedWe have no complaints. Just sorry the weather was not great enough for us to make use of the lovely pool.

LikedGreat location very central to all the sites we wanted to visit. This boutique hotel was truly five star with spacious rooms and exceptional service. Would certainly stay there again.

LikedStunning boutique hotel with very comfortable communal area with an honesty bar that was FOC. Breakfast was high quality although did notice a lot of waste from the fruit / bread / meat trays that are given to every table. Location is perfect for Franshoek and staff very welcoming and knowledgeable of the local and surrounding area

DislikedDidn’t have a gym. I guess I was there to relax but always like a gym where possible. With that said they give complimentary access to a health club less than a 5 minute walk away which was well equipped and the small pool the hotel has is very nice
