Malabar Hill

LikedWe loved everything about our stay at Malabar Hill but the staff were the standout. Each person we encountered during our stay was genuine, kind and so helpful. On our checkout day the manager gave recommendations for where we should have dinner and even called and booked a table for us (the recommendation was brilliant). The pool area is beautiful and the food was exceptional (breakfast, lunch and dinner!). We couldn’t recommend Malabar Hill more highly. We also really enjoyed the complimentary Arrack based special cocktail that changed each evening.

LikedWooow! This place is AMAZING. Honestly, the attention to detail to everything is beyond great. It’s up in the hills so you get beautiful lush green views plus the ocean as well. The rooms are massive and let’s not forget your own private pool which the the nicest views. I’ve stayed many 5 star places and this place is exactly as the pictures say. Then we get to all the wonderful staff who always had a smile on their face and were so welcoming and warm and genuinely seemed invested in making our stay great. This place is worth every penny for a luxury Sri Lankan adventure. And try the egg hopper breakfast. It was amazing.

LikedI found the staff to be excellent! From the greeter who explained things to us quite well, the operations manager Ashan who was very friendly and courteous , to the servers in the restaurant and cleaners in the rooms , we found all to be quite friendly, professional and very helpful. Also,I thought the handling of the whatsapp number quite exceptional. Our request to their whatsapp number was always met almost instantaneously. We also found the location and the rooms to be beautiful and quite spacious.

LikedAmazing hotel that is really unique. The property, the villa, the food -- everything is amazing. We spent 3 nights and we could have stayed longer. The view from the villa is just amazing, and the room is well decorated. The staff is very helpful. I travelled and stayed in many 5-star hotels, but this one is one of my favorites in the world.

LikedDon’t be fooled by the uphill tuk tuk ride to the property entrance at the top of the hill. This beautiful property offers seclusion, tranquility and excellent views of nature only a 15 min ride to Weligama. There is also a complimentary shuttle to Mirissa which my friend and I didn’t even use because we decided we didn’t want to leave the property on our last day. The food is stellar and the hospitality is out of this world as well. There are thoughtful touches throughout the property that make this place truly feel luxurious and serene. I plan on returning to stay here, it as a magical experience.
