“Blissfully relaxing, a hidden gem for sure!”

LikedThis was an insanely beautiful hotel. Insanely gorgeous, almost haunting location near a beautiful cliff walk, several secret beach coves, and of course the surfing action of Fistral Beach. My husband and I were overwhelmed with the serenity of the property -- and yet, was easy walking distance from town and the train. The spa was the crown jewel, so relaxing and easy to access, good in all weather too. The breakfast was extravagant and the best way to start the day by the big windows overlooking the ocean. The lobby and stairs beautiful, the staff warm and friendly -- honestly I couldn't recommend this hotel more!

DislikedThe room we got was extremely small with no view, which unfortunately wasn't specified in our Booking.com reservation ahead of time. It ended up fine, but worth noting!

LikedThis hotel is beautiful - location is stunning, fabulous facilities - spa pools etc. The best thing about the Headland is the staff. Everyone was so welcoming, very helpful, always ready to please. The service in the restaurant and bars was impeccable. I use a mobility scooter and they gave me a room near a lift and the concierges were always there to open the front door for me as I went in and out. On check in, the receptionist kindly took us on a tour of the hotel and showed us around - a really nice touch. We ate three nights in the hotel, Terrace restaurant twice & Renmor one night - food was excellent in all. We are recommending the hotel to all our friends because of the staff.

“Would I come again? Actually, I would like to live there permanently.”

LikedThe public spaces were outstanding, as was the spa and the choice of places to eat. The setting is unique, being surrounded on one side by the sea and the other by a golf course. The staff were beyond excellent, especially Verity who kept us supplied with hot drinks and Reece, always cheerful and engaging. The smoked salmon for breakfast was the best that I have ever tasted, (I am now a fan of smoked salmon whereas before our stay I was indifferent). The 'overnight' oats with fruit was magnificent. The pizza in The Deck was the best since we lived in Rome many years ago. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we especially enjoyed the humourous friendly notices by the service lifts and the kitchens. All in all, a most friendly and welcoming, unstuffy beautiful hotel deserving of its 5-star rating.

DislikedThe gym is too small: weights machines weren't wide-ranging enough, (no facility to exercise 'abdomenal crunches,' sit-ups or pectoral muscles). But I realise this is subjective.

“First-class staff made our stay !”

LikedWe had a great stay at the Headland Hotel. The location is fantastic, the restaurants are excellent, and we really enjoyed the breakfasts. But what made our stay particularly memorable was the staff, who were absolutely first class throughout. Among the hotel and restaurant team members who made our visit so enjoyable were Charlie, Sam, Hugo, Theo, Dec, Emma, Gemma, Max, Jake, Cerys, Holly, Sayeed, and Aiden. A huge thank you to all of them for looking after us so well.
