Old Parsonage Hotel

LikedThe staff was very helpful. We loved the breakfast and having dinner out on the patio as it was a little noisy inside. The air conditioning was a pleasant surprise.

DislikedWe would have preferred to have had the room made up while we were out during the day rather than after we got back from our day out about 4:30 or 5:00

LikedNice updated bathroom and great shower with beautiful large towels. Liked the homemade shortbread cookies, and high quality tea and coffee in the room and magazines. Quality of bedding was good.

DislikedService was highly uneven ; While some staff such as Claire! were wonderful and super helpful, other staff were not helpful and didn’t clearly explain how to use the safe or close the window shade’s electronically which even they said were a bit complicated, & many people have had issues with. The first night’s staff asked us if we wanted turndown service which includes cookies and water and even though we said yes no one came.even after we called at 9 and they said they were coming. The safe was tiny and not useful- it was too small for an iPad and it was not big enough to put in a normal size laptop for working travelers. Room decor colors feel a little dated given the high room cost.

LikedThe hotel service was wonderful! Our Room was amazing, with the small balcony and spotless. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel and they all were fantastic! The Old Parconage Hotel is one of the best we have stayed at! Highly recommended!

LikedSuch a warm, comfortable, and charming old property! Great staff, fabulous food and heritage decor. Excellent location for touring the city center. It even has parking.

DislikedIts popularity filled up the dining area so be sure to reserve a table if you want indoor seating.

LikedRoom was excellent- modern, large, lovely amenities, and comfortable. Close to indoor restaurant & outdoor patios. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Walking tour was so informative re history of the university, houses and architecture. Scones and tea a delicious, authentic bonus. Truly enjoyable. Much appreciated!

DislikedMenu was limited for me- a Canadian. Luckily I am not a vegetarian. Fruit outside the room much appreciated.
