Grand Hotel Timeo, A Belmond Hotel, Taormina

LikedEverything from the begging to the moment we had to leave was just great! Perfect location, stunning views, great food and very carrying and attentive staff! They made our stay unforgettable and we really appreciate that!

LikedTo say the hotel is amazing and splendid is to say nothing :-) Beautiful gardens and rooms, cosy restaurants and bars with a magnificent view, and all that with flawless service and perfect staff. A big plus is also the easy access to the private beach of the sister hotel. It wasn’t the first Belmond hotel in which we stayed but for sure one of the best.

LikedSuperb location with wonderful staff. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and were genuine. All the little touches were appreciated- water, fruit, gelato, sunscreen, sweets and happy hour. The view is exceptional. We loved being able to spend time on the beach too in the sister hotel.

DislikedVilla Flora bedrooms are slightly dated. The wasps. Queues outside the gates for the Greek theatre.

LikedAmazing hotel next to the ruins. Location is perfect. Not in the centre of the town so not noisy during the day and evening. The hotel has large grounds so you don't feel too cramped. Lots of places for walks and privacy. There is a free shuttle down to the other Belmond on the beach which runs every 30mins until late which is amazing. There is also a complimentary cruise around Isola Bella. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. Gym and pool were great also

DislikedIt was noisy one morning due to cleaners and rubbish trucks.

LikedWe had the most wonderful stay at the Timeo, everyone was so friendly and kind. They really take extra care with the small touches especially for the children and we could not have wished for more. Thank you, we cannot wait to visit again next year.

LikedFirst of all, the staff: they're incredible. Our stay was a honeymoon stay and they exceeded our expectations on all levels--there when you needed them and not when you didn't. We were able to enjoy the amazing Dior spa for a treatment which was one of the best we've ever had and the overall classic Sicilian vibe of the property/grounds is hard to match. Yes, the ultra-expensive Four Seasons down the street is also an incredible (and famous property) but for the value, charm, and equally grand history the Belmond Grand Timeo really can't be beat.

DislikedVery little, honestly. It's an incredible experience for those willing to spend the money. The only thing to be wary of would be the occasional annoyance from mosquitoes in the spring and summer.

LikedWe loved absolutely everything about Grand Hotel Timeo, in particular the view from restaurant Timeo, the pool , gardens and service.

DislikedThere really isn’t anything to dislike but if anything I would rather have stayed in the main residence and not in Villa Flora.
