DislikedHarbour works going on outside that were not mentioned (although they were not as intrusive as that may sound) Restaurant manager refused to allow us to take a table for dinner even though it had been booked two days before and we had upgraded to a suite. However to be fair to the hotel they did give us a free meal the following night which we did not even request so you have to say their customer service is first rate.

LikedWe chose Villa Igiea for our honeymoon and were generously upgraded to an amazing suite with loads of hanging space and an incredible luxury bathroom. The Highlights: Service & Drinks: The staff are the most attentive we have ever encountered, and the cocktails at the terrace bar are absolutely fabulous. The Property: A stunning Art Nouveau palazzo with gorgeous seafront gardens and a beautiful pool.

DislikedTop Tip: Do not walk into town from the hotel. The immediate area outside is a little rough around the edges, but the city itself is absolutely amazing once you get there. Use the hotel’s free shuttle or a taxi instead.
