LikedBreakfast was excellent. So much choice, and they do cater to those with gut sensitivities. Everything is made fresh. Location wasn't bad. 1215- minute walk to the Clerigos.

LikedA fantastic hotel with an excellent location and breathtaking views over the Douro River. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. The facilities are outstanding, including a beautiful panoramic pool, sauna, hammam, and a well-equipped gym. Everything was perfectly maintained, and the overall atmosphere was luxurious yet relaxing. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

What truly stood out was the consistently outstanding service. Every team member we encountered—from the entrance staff and front desk to the bar and restaurant personnel—was friendly, engaging, professional, and attentive. Their genuine hospitality made us feel less like guests and more like we were at home. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend the Avantgarde to anyone visiting the area.

“Womderful Roof-top hotel!”
LikedThe view from the Restaurant Terrace and the pool is stunning and breakfast becomes an experience. I liked the location, very near the historical center and the bed, very cosy.
