LikedPerfect location in the Gothic Quarter. It is an easy walk to the majority of visitor sites. The staff is very kind and extremely helpful. Our room was absolutely lovely and equipped with high end amenities. We had wine at the hotel bar and a lovely tapas meal at Le Bouchon.
LikedWe started our honeymoon off in BCN at the mercer hotel. From checkin we met LUCA at the front desk who was so kind and welcoming. They greeted us with champagne, which we loved. Our room wasn't ready, but we were happy to walk around the gothic quarter--very cool! The hotel is central in the quarter surrounded by neat art galleries, tiny shops, coffee shops, etc. Excellent place to start out our honeymoon. our room was small, but it was all we needed. I loved the old brick. The rooftop bar and small pool was divine. There was hardly anyone up there. There were clean bathrooms and a phone to call staff when we needed a drink--it worked out great.
LikedCustomer service in the hotel is excellent! Beautiful little canapés delivered to our room on our arrival, served under a glass dome. Also, the door man (forgot his name, tall, salt n pepper hair, glasses) was friendly and very kind.
