LikedExcellent property! Everything was perfect, the room, the view, the food, and the staff! It was very conveniently located right above the subway station with easy access to everywhere in London, great places to eat nearby and a short walk to the Thames river. Had the best experience!
LikedUpdate 2026: We stayed for another couple nights and the hotel is just aa excellent as ever. We tried the Elemis massage treatment this time and it was great too. It's situated in one of the rooms of the hotel and the staff does a great job at finding you to bring you there. Original 2024 review: Easily one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in - be sure to book and check out the Sky Pool, it's a must!
DislikedThe location isn't the best as it's a little far from the city centre, however there's a tubes station right next door for easy access to the city.

DislikedA male bar waiter at Gong was odd as he spoke a few not welcomed anecdotes. I was alone that night as my friend had checked out and departed. I was quiet taking in the beautiful views. Given the bar waiter remarks, I think he suggested I was at Gong for ill purpose. Given that male bar waiter comments, I did not feel comfortable or accepted. i immediately and quietly retreated to my suite at The Shard.
LikedThe amazing view! We were impressed with the bathroom; it was elegant, warm, and well-equipped with a variety of amenities. The location, adjacent to the train station, was a plus. All decor details from the entrance, the lobby, and the restaurants were exquisite. We had a great time at the Lounge. The staff was helpful and went above and beyond to help us accommodate our needs. Definitely, we want to return.
LikedWe are absolutely delighted by the experience, right from the reception, about the special allotment of the choicest room, the greeting message every thing made us feel warmly welcomed by the hospitality and participation in the special moment. We were mesmerised with Shangri-La The Shard, It truly is amazing with the beauty, uniqueness, panoramic views from bed and even from the luxurious bath,its opulence is unique. We managed to visit the infinity pool and sauna just once throughout our stay and have fond memories of these wellness amenities.Above all staff were very courteous, cheerfull and always proactive to ensure comfort.
