The Adria

LikedThe Adria is exactly the kind of hotel you want to come back to after a long day on the go. It's in a quiet South Kensington neighborhood; the metro is conveniently nearby; my front facing room had great natural light, and the windows opened just a skitch so I had fresh air; the bed, bedding, and pillows were terrific; I didn't use the tub, but the shower was terrific. Most important is a shout out to the hotel's management and staff: the employees must be happy in their work, each one, throughout my stay, was friendly, welcoming and helpful; I left personal items behind when I checked out, and not only did the hotel let me know that they had them, they sent the items to me on their tab.

DislikedThe Adria offers an ample, pleasing breakfast, but there isn't food service at night. You have to order in. There isn't a bar per se, and while the staff will mix and serve drinks to order, it's not the same as a night cap in a more social environment.

LikedThe staff, especially Dominic, were great. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

DislikedThe shower was a nightmare. The water did not drain well and it spread throughout the bathroom. I wished I had a squeegee to move it back to the shower area because it made the marble floor treacherous. The bathtub needs a grab bar to hold onto when getting in and out of the tub.

LikedThe facility, including our room, was absolutely beautiful. The staff were attentive and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The common areas of the hotel were beautiful and we enjoyed using the spaces to relax.

LikedThis is my second visit to the hotel, and once again, I received exceptional and courteous treatment. All my needs were taken care of with great attention and care, and the staff were extremely helpful, welcoming, and professional. My stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and I will definitely choose to stay here again in the future.
