LikedThe Higgins is a upscale hotel with a sophisticated design, staff was really nice and service was on point.
DislikedThe downside of the hotel, parking lot. On my opinion was overcharged parking, $50.00 per day, $50.00 more per day in addition to what we already paid for the hotel. There was no in-and-out direct access, from the hotel to the parking. Spaces were tight and uncomfortable.
LikedIt's a beautiful hotel in a quiet location away from the French Quarter which we loved. We love US History so that was another big bonus for us. The place was beautiful.
DislikedIt doesn't have a pool and New Orleans is HOT.

LikedGreat, safe location with super easy parking directly connected to the hotel! The accommodations are excellent with a friendly staff from the moment you enter the lobby, including excellent housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the hotel, and tasty in house restaurants if you want to stay close.for a meal. Walking distance to the Riverwalk/ Julia St.#49 Streetcar to the French Market, as well as a variety of different restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. The excellent quality of the accommodations has been consistent each time we’ve booked with the Higgins!

LikedI didn't have the breakfast there. Location was great. Felt safe and parking was just next door, which was fantastic.
DislikedThe only issues I had was the ice machine on the 8th floor was not working, and the smell as you walk in the front doors was very strong and overpowering "perfumey" smell. Other than that, we had no issues at all.
LikedLocation for the WWII museum or anywhere downtown was wonderful. We also went to Arnaud’s on Bourbon and Bienville and the walk was maybe 20 minutes. Very easy walk and we felt very safe. The hotel is beautiful and filled with the 40’s feel, perfect for the WWII mood.
DislikedBed was a little soft and sheets had a couple of tiny tears from so many washings, otherwise room was perfect.
