“Very nice hotel!”
LikedBeautiful hotel located in a stunning historic bank building. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by friendly and smiling doormen, with a special mention to the porter from Kenya who was exceptionally warm and welcoming. Although our room was not ready at 11 a.m., we quickly received a text message once it became available while we were exploring the city. The room was elegant, romantic, and very comfortable. The bathroom amenities were outstanding and among the best I've experienced. The front desk agent who checked us in was highly professional, friendly, and efficient. The gym was also excellent and very well equipped. Breakfast at Riggs Café was delicious. The Egg Royal was probably the best I've ever had. Overall, the hotel offers a wonderful atmosphere, beautiful design, and excellent facilities.
DislikedOur room faced the back of the hotel, which meant there was very little natural light. We were also not offered an upgrade. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast service. While the food itself was excellent, the service was surprisingly poor and not at the level expected from a luxury hotel. The staff seemed slow and disengaged despite there being more employees than guests. I ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice and waited 20 minutes without receiving it. After asking again, I was assured it was on the way, but we eventually left after another 30 minutes without ever receiving the order. The quality of the food was outstanding, but the breakfast service needs significant improvement.
