“Super nice, modern hotel with clean, comfortable and spacious rooms, along with nice outdoor spaces for guests to…”

LikedWe loved the overall look and cleanliness of the property. It was modern and beautiful! We had a really comfortable stay. Our room had a large sitting area near the TV and a kitchen with barstools, along with a balcony with views of the mountains.

DislikedThe only negative, and it’s not entirely a negative, is that the property is located on the quieter end of the Main Street in Banff. We actually enjoyed the quiet and we liked walking to the restaurants on the other side of town. There was a free shuttle too. Some people may like being in closer proximity to the part of town where more restaurants and shops are.

LikedThe room was comfortable with lots of counter space. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The giant hot tubs were amazing especially after a big day of hiking and the view of the mountains was gorgeous.

DislikedThere were multiple elevators and they were super slow. On the positive side we used stairs more and got more steps!

“A lovely way to experience Banff - Hotel Otter was above and beyond expectations!”

LikedThe hotel staff greeted us with a smile and great information as we arrived. We had questions about some of the activities we had planned and they were so helpful. The hotel is newer, and has garage parking, and they even offered free bus tickets that was such a great option to explore Banff and Sulfur Mountain, and the Banff Gondola. The warm pools were spectacular and a lovely way to relax in the evening. Our room was spacious with a view of the mountains and a lovely terrace. We loved that they provided local coffee and tea to start our morning in the room. We were celebrating a birthday while we were there, and they surprised us with a special chocolate cake treat in our room one night as well. We ate many times for breakfast and dinner at their restaurant - Good Folk as it was one of the best experiences we had in all of Banff. I highly recommend this hotel for the location, value, and rooms.

“Wonderful place to stay in Banff.”

LikedThe location was great. The hot pools were wonderful. The building itself was gorgeous.

DislikedThe restaurant was too fancy for a quick bite of food. Not enough selection.

“Excellent Stay!”

LikedHad a wonderful stay! Everything was excellent—from the clean rooms to the friendly staff and great service. My favorite part was the pool area, which was beautiful, relaxing, and very well maintained. Overall, I loved everything about this hotel and would definitely stay here again. 😊

“I recommend this hotel.”

LikedA very nice hotel with a beautiful view from the room. The spa area is excellent and offers stunning sunset views. The restaurant and service are outstanding. There is also a large and convenient parking area.

DislikedI hope they will improve this to make the hotel truly exceptional. However, I was quite surprised that there were no complimentary bottles of water, tea, or coffee in the room. These items are available upon request at the reception desk, but in my opinion, this is rather inconvenient and unusual.
