Casa Carolina Luxury Wellness Hotel

LikedThis is perhaps my favorite hotel on the planet. Perfect location. Unbelievably warm and attentive staff. We got to know many of them, and all of that felt very special. The hotel is magical and beautiful. I loved the breakfast and the rooftop dinner was repeated. It's a crazy good value. Checks all of the boxes : personal, historic location, lovely staff, healthy and gorgeous food, romantic rooftop. I was ready to move in.

DislikedI hated that we had to leave.

LikedGorgeous, hotel and stylish, historic rooms in a wonderful part of Cartagena. This is a kind of place that makes you feel like a celebrity. It’s truly special so much so that we ended up spending a lot of time there during the very hot afternoons, lounging on the beautiful sun beds by the pool on the roof deck.

DislikedThe staff did not seem prepared to serve breakfast in a timely manner in the morning, when many guests were trying to get out the door for tours or departures. We typically sat for 30 minutes or more waiting for someone to get us coffee and longer to actually get a meal.

LikedLocation, location, location. Perfectly situated in a great section of the old city within walking distance of everything. The small rooftop pool is an added bonus that we really enjoyed. Breakfast is super yummy and customizable. Security is very good so random people are not wandering into the hotel.

DislikedMore than we usually/ever pay for a hotel room, but the location and the options for pampering salve some of the "pain"!

LikedReally nice architecture, everything was very professional

LikedI really liked our room which had two bathrooms. Even though there was loud music outside, we did not really hear it that much inside our room. The service and staff were great. Our room was so tidy and clean every time we came back from exploring the city! I liked the rooftop bar and pool a lot! One night while at the rooftop we got to see fireworks coming from somewhere near the pier, such a nice surprise. Also, I felt safe at the hotel which I did not fully realize before I got there, because of how centrally located the place is.

DislikedWe stayed 5 days and like other reviews mentioned, we loved the healthy breakfast the first and second day but by the 4th day we were tired of it. It would have been great to have other options to order. Also a little gym to work out a little at least.

LikedAbsolutely fabulous stay. The hotel is even more gorgeous and luxurious in person. The staff was incredibly kind and made the stay extra special. Laura the masseuse did an AMAZING job, would 1000% book again.

LikedIt’s beautiful - traditional Colombian culture combined with luxury and relaxation. The staff - Franklin, Tata, and others were so kind and so helpful. The facilities were clean, the food amazing, and the location was central to everything. It was two woman traveling and felt very safe here. 10/10 recommend to others.
