Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam Hotel

LikedWonderful historic hotel with beautiful view and super-nice professional staff. The building is beautiful, yet quiet. Easy walk from everything. My room was perfectly clean (and I am very picky about dust in the corner, hair or water stain in the bathroom - my room was immaculate). Staff were respectful and polite, even when I arrived sweaty and tired, they treated me with so much respect. I loved the restaurant too, food, drink and service were excellent. I researched a lot where to stay when I came, next time I won’t have to do it: this is where I will stay again.

LikedThe staff was exceptional. The hotel was beautifully appointed. Our room overlooked the canal. The bedding was extremely comfortable. We felt very well cared for. It was a perfect location to see all the sights. The restaurant had a beautiful view overlooking the canal.

LikedLocation was excellent for all activities in Amsterdam including to and from Amsterdam Central Station. All the employees of hotel were very attentive to all our requests. Even the Tourist hospital was 8 walking minutes away

LikedThe sophisticated finish of the property and location to walkable areas as well as canal views. The front desk staff was amazing as well as the bellman who recommended restaurants, a barber , tours and shops. Very kind to offer coffee while we waited for room to be available.

DislikedThe breakfast dinning room staff is very attentive to rapidly remove plates yet never offered a refill on coffee. They are amazing and responsive when asking for something but did not proactively engage related to coffee and water refills.

LikedPerfect location, lovely room well maintained and comfortable, lovely staff

DislikedOur room was on the 1st floor and consequently, quite noisy in the late hours of the evening. The room was quite expensive for what we stayed in. We have travelled extensively all over the world and stayed in luxury accommodation…but this seemed more expensive than others….most likely due to the excessive tax increased as of January 1/26!
