DislikedIt would be nice if there were shops in walking distance, but a taxi to town only took 10 minutes.

LikedFor us, this is the most beautiful seaside spot—considering any sea or location we have ever visited. While the architecture is impressive and the location fabulous, it is the people who make this place truly memorable. They are staff members who have been here for over twenty years, conveying a passion and kindness that you appreciate immediately. The restaurant is extraordinary, not only because the dishes are superbly prepared but also because the view of the sea is breathtaking. I highly recommend staying at least one night to fully enjoy the setting and Praia do Guincho.

LikedAbsolutely stunning from the moment we arrived. The setting is breathtaking, the property is beautiful, and everything was spotless. The staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely caring, and the location is perfect. It was truly one of the best experiences we have ever had. We would stay again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone and everyone. Come experience it for yourself!

DislikedHonestly, very little. The breakfast was very tasty, and the eggs made to order were great, but a bit more variety would have been swell. What they offered was good, with eggs made various ways, they had bacon, bread, yogurt, cereal, fruit, and juice, but that felt a little limited over a multi night stay. A wider variety, like more hot dishes, additional meat and protein choices would bring breakfast up to the level of everything else at this beautiful property.

LikedWe love the location of this hotel, and especially the restoration of this historical building. We loved the complimentary bottle of wine, bottle of water, and the two bags of cookies. This was very generous and kind, welcoming. Gifts. To our surprise, the hotel also has a Michelin rated restaurant… the breakfast was wonderful as well .::

DislikedThe room we were provided had a partial view to the beach, however, there was a very loud noise coming from the kitchen vent and the AC units … we would have l loved to be able to open the windows for the evening and morning breeze or the overnight breeze; however, we were unable to enjoy the partial view because of the noise and horrible smell …

DislikedThe isolation in rooms is not good enough so you can hear a lot the rooms nearby and the corridor. Nice staff but not too friendly and of course it’s too bad the hôtel doesn’t have a pool as it very very difficult to have a decent swim in the beaches nearby (example : playa do Guincho)

LikedWe loved that it was a historical site with an amazing view of the beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The reception area was phenomenal. We had a flight delay and arrived at 1:00 a.m. the clerk was friendly and welcoming. Throughout our stay the staff was helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and the breakfast, overlooking the ocean, was amazing. We wished we had more time at this location and hope to return someday.

LikedSuperb location. Lovely staff. Sumptuous dining room - overlooking the ocean, tables well spaced, thick carpeting. Comfortable room with views over the bay. Easy to arrange pick up and return to Lisbon airport (separate payment).
