LikedGreat place to stay outside of the busy center of Porto. The garden and views are great. Spa area was great. We ate at the gastronomic restaurant, dishes were well executed.
DislikedWe couldn’t use the outside swimming pool as it was not cleaned for the new season. The service for outside drinks was very slow and we had to chase the waiter. The dishes of the restaurant were good but could have varied more in test.
LikedRight on the Duoro River, beautiful grounds, away from noise, yet still short drive to city activities. It was a perfect retreat with plenty of opportunities to sit and enjoy just being here, looking out at the river. The spa was an added element of relaxation!

DislikedLack of light in the bathroom. Need better lighting, brighter. Lounge chairs by pool are tired. The landscape by pond near pool needs attention. Wait staff great. Spa staff a little stiff.

LikedA wonderful retreat and place for relaxation away from the fun and bustling Porto. Loved the short boat trip from the hotel.
LikedThe facilities were excellent and of a high quality. Quality of the food and variety was very good. Views of the river were great.
DislikedThe location was not ideal if you wanted to walk somewhere - 15 minutes to get anywhere by car, although a beautiful setting overlooking the river. Whilst the staff were very pleasant some needed more training. The room was not ready at check in at 4pm. On the first day by 4pm the room had not yet been serviced.
