LikedThe Mark has a wonderful boutique feel that makes the experience feel warm and homely rather than like a large hotel. I particularly liked the rooms, bathrooms and showers, which are very comfortable and well designed. What really stands out, though, is the staff. They are genuinely friendly, attentive and welcoming, which gives the hotel a very personal atmosphere.

DislikedOverall, it delivers very well for a boutique hotel. The only thing it lacks compared with a larger luxury property is a broader range of facilities, such as a swimming pool and additional wellness amenities.

DislikedWhen we checked in they gave us the wrong key, it was late almost midnight, we entered the room snapped on the light, and woke a terrified woman who was sleeping in the bed- she almost had a heart attack- a human mistake, but not something we or the poor woman expected.
