Lucien Hanoi Lakeside Hotel & Rooftop

LikedOur stay at the hotel was fantastic, and we actually returned to Lucien when we cam back to Hanoi. The hotel facilities are very nice, the room was comfortable and we even had a nice view of the lake. The location is right in the middle of the old quarter, and everything is minutes away by walking. The rooftop bar is very nice to have a cocktail in the evening. The restaurant at the 9th floor has very good menu and magnificent views But most of all, the hotel stuff under the supervision of Jerry, the hotel general manager, was highly friendly and helpful at all times, making Lucien feel like home away from home, and this was actually the main motivation to return time and time again. Looking forward to our next stay at the Lucien!

DislikedThe street noise below was sometimes a bit too loud. A price you have to pay when you stay in the center of everything. The pool at the rooftop is practically a Jacuzzi, not suitable for a refreshing swim

LikedThe staff and facilities were reminiscent of our travels in Asia in the 80’s. Extremely helpful and eager to serve us, even before we asked. Dana in particular is simply an angel. Furnishings and the style was traditional, rather than the new Brass & Glass prevalent today.

DislikedSaturday night featured a noisy all night Rave at the Lake, making sleep very difficult. Make sure you check if there is an event before you select a high floor, lake facing room like we did.

LikedWe had such a wonderful stay at Lucien Hanoi Hotel! The staff truly took care of us from start to finish. Everyone was incredibly friendly, courteous, and accommodating, and our room was huge and very comfortable. A special shout-out to Frank, who was wonderful from the moment we arrived! He gave us great recommendations on things to see and do around Hanoi, made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay, and was always so welcoming and friendly. The amazing staff really made our time in Hanoi even more memorable. We would absolutely stay here again!

LikedFriendly and caring staff as you walk in the hotel. Location is great as well across the Hoan Kiem and walking distance to other attraction. Nice and clean room and comfy bed.

LikedGreat location, close to the lake and within reach of all the tourist spots. Room was nice and we got upgraded. Bed was comfy and the staff were so friendly. Teddy really looked after us well and made sure we were comfortable and he also gave us tips on where to go how to get to places.

LikedThe staff Grace, Anna, Julie, Frank, Terry and all were so friendly and helpfull. It felt like home. I am so pleased with their serivce I want to give them more than 10 points
