LikedRoom was fabulous! The room I wanted during booking was not available but became available before I arrived. The hotel actually upgraded me above my desired room which was an unexpected surprise.

LikedThis is a beautiful, historic hotel in the best location in Quebec. We booked the one-bedroom king suite. Our room was in the original phase near the board walk so we had an amazing view of the boardwalk and the river. Here's what we liked: gorgeous luxury hotel from the woodwork and carpet to the tiles; fantastic location; wonderful service with amazing staff (we felt very cared for!); pretty comfortable bed and we are picky since we sleep on an all-memory-foam mattress at home. (bottom line: we slept well), AC/Heat system was easy to use and worked well; room was quiet; lovely table with two comfy chairs so we could bring in a meal or two in our room; Nespresso machine with no limit on how much we used; plenty of free bottled water. There's fairly nice (but, a little small for this size of hotel) indoor pool and hot tub. We took advantage of the afternoon tea and loved it.
DislikedHere's what we didn't love and some of this can't be helped because of the hotel's age: We had a one-bedroom suite but, there is no door to the bedroom. The bathroom is kind of small in this section of the hotel. But, you take the good with the bad since our view was amazing in this section. There is only one sink in the bathroom. The sofa was a little tired and not that comfortable. The gym is too small for this size of hotel. There was no free sauna which we like to do after a swim without having to pay extra.

LikedBeautiful hotel, and amazing location, right in the center of Old Quebec, steps from the cable car entrance. The staff was very accommodating and made sure that we had everything we needed. The rooms were updated and beautiful! The beds were very comfortable! We loved the pool and hot tub area and used it after walking around town all day. We ate dinner on site one night, and the food was delicious.
