“Incredible stay: top-notch location, facilities, comfort, dining options, and service!”

LikedPros: Excellent location in Mayfair. Despite perhaps an executive feel, the facilities are modern, sleek, and sophisticated. All areas are beautiful and luxurious. The rooms are clean, spacious, and very comfortable, including the bed and pillows. The natural light was wonderful. I'm a sucker for having a bathroom with 2 sinks. The water pressure and temperature were great. Dining options are fantastic: we had breakfast in Serra, lunch in GSQ, tea/pastries in Jacqueline, and drinks at the Eagle Bar--all top-notch. Sadly, Tobi Masa was closed the evening we stayed there. Staff was very friendly and attentive (a particular shoutout to Michele in the front desk). Undoubtedly a top 3 stay in London!

DislikedCon: The only blemish in our stay occurred after check-out. Weeks in advance, we had coordinated with the concierge our pick-up time to go to the airport. It was confirmed via email 2 weeks prior and re-confirmed the day of departure a few hours before checking out. When we checked out, our car was not there. After a 10 minute wait, we asked again and were told that the car had been scheduled for an hour later, despite multiple confirmations and re-confirmations. The concierge who had confirmed our booking 2 weeks earlier had no idea about it, even when I showed him the email with his name and signature. Staff scrambled but we ended up leaving 30 minutes later than our originally scheduled departure time. Fortunately, we had allowed for enough time to head to the airport and traffic was light, but it otherwise could have been catastrophic had we missed our flight due to the delay. Otherwise a 10/10 experience.

“Absolutely perfect”

LikedThe property was the definition of luxury and comfort from the moment you step foot inside. The staff, location, spa, amenities- everything was 10/10. The best thing was the no check in/check out times. It made the stay even more seamless.

“Exceptional: You Won't Want To Leave”

LikedYou won't want to leave. The most beautiful design and attention to detail has been paid in this hotel. Everywhere you look, there is something new to bring delight to your senses. The colours, the textures, the different stones, the way the light beams in - wow. And the spa?! The best, so beautiful and relaxing The colours used in the rooms makes the stay so relaxing. There is a feeling of being in nature, though you're right in the heart of the city. The staff are so attentive and kind, they can't do enough for you. The eagle bar definitely seems to be the place to be; great vibes, drinks, and good. If Alexis is your waiter, you're in for a fun time; he really cares about making it a beautiful evening for you.

“Great property with minor service and comms kinks to work out”

LikedThe hotel itself is a gorgeous building, with an impeccable design and meticulously curated art collection. The staff are lovely and very thoughtful, the SPA area is fantastic, the food is excellent, the afternoon tea experience alone was well worth the trip. There was a complimentary airport pick up and late check out already built into our stay. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

Disliked- There was a discretionary 5% service charge per day automatically added to the bill. The staff emphasised that the charge is completely up to us but that puts guests in an awkward position of, should they wish to indeed remove the charge (if, for instance, no one showed up to clean the room), request it and then wait for another bill to be recalculated. During check-in we specifically asked what was the tipping policy at the hotel, and the staff did not mention the service charge at all. While I completely understand staffing issues etc, this is something Ryanair pulls, not an expensive London hotel. If the charge was announced somewhere on the booking confirmation it must have been the tiniest of prints and we missed it. I would like to stress that this is a hotel policy, nothing to do with staff and I would imagine they do not enjoy having this conversation with guests either. - Location - Mayfair has evolved into more of a theme park: there will be queues for restaurants outside, rubbish everywhere, a lot of people really fond of revving up their sport cars up and down the block at night and drivers almost running you over on a pedestrian crossing with their Maserati SUV (based on a true story). None of this is the fault of the hotel obviously, but a room on a higher floor maybe required for a good nights rest. - We didn't require room cleaning the first 2 days and the last day of our stay, the "Do no disturb" light was on and on the first day the staff indeed attempted to clean the room and left a card. However on the third day we did want the room cleaned, turned off the light in the morning, left the room for 5 hours and the cleaning simply didn't show up, even after a separate request at the reception at 5pm to simply empty out the waste basket and replenish the coffee station. There were no more cards. So all in - the room was not cleaned once.
